must admit all the family enjoyed..funny,great action..decent diaologue and some fine actors with a good story..an origin yes..but really good, much better than the overhyped spiderman movies and transformers..my favourite super hero film next to batman begins..well worth a trip to the flicks, all my family enjoyed it:)

No, let's hope it's better than those horrid movies (although, the first X-Men movie was good).

I was more referring to the SFX, not the acting or plots

I've convinced the beautiful chilliwoman that we are going to see this movie next week - can't understand why she wasn't as excited as I was...

It's the first adaption that Marvel made themselves instead of selling the rights. I hope they stayed as true to the original story as possible. I hate it when I see comic adaptions of books I used to read and the film tells a totally different story.

Downey looks a bit like Tony Stark, that's a good start. I'm very curious about it!!!

My thoughts exactly. I am skeptical because of Downey. What has he done but chick flicks and re-hab? (Not that I am judging!)

But the soundtrack is a start. Along the same vein, the new superman movie was pretty decent, but I had been fearing a soundtrack featuring Linkin F()cking Park. I was so glad that they stayed true instead of trendy.

Another thing that bugs me, is that every ad shows him in the suit when it flubs up and slams him into a wall behind him, upside down, and 15 feet in the air.

That would kill anyone.

That is where the "new" Star Wars Prequels lost me.

I can suspend my disbelief to enjoy a movie about the craziest sh!t imaginable. But when someone jumps 5 stories down and lands on a jet speeder flying along at 50 miles per hour, or someone survives a fall that would obviously kill or at least paralyze someone, I lose interest.

And yes, Batman Begins was fricking incredible. That Batmobile is the coolest thing I have ever seen!

Believe me, I'd go Thrusday night for the midnight showing...but my dad....who I'm trying to be "friends with" wants to go on Saturday to avoid the crowd...so I'll be joining him then.

you really need to get over the fact that they're only movies!
the list of movies could go on & on & on about movies that have scenes
in them that dont hold true as to what a human body can do or withstand or scenes like 1 person fighting 30 people or taking on a whole army
or even mechanical feats.

they're just movies!

I bet I could find some unnatural human feat in any movie you name off that you like.

another thing is you'd be surprised as to what a human body can do or take, not saying it holds true for everyone but theres cases of extreme incidents done to human bodies & they live.
this isnt extreme but a buddy of mine fell 3 stories & got back up & just went back to work - well after he sat in the truck for a bit while thinking of what just happened
