Oddly the history channel had an episode this past weekend that started from Hoffman to Leary and how it/they effected an era and music and how ordinary people became extraordinary hippies. Actually a pretty good episode.

I've seen a report on him last year and he appeared to a very friendly, intelligent man with very modern views. He didn't seem to regret his biggest discovery a bit and he has actually left quite an impression on me.

Well, he lived to be 102, that's amazing. What's also amazing is the dose he probably took that first time...wow!

It was called "Peyote to LSD". Really good special and caused a light to go off in my head about a past expeience I had.
