View Full Version : Looking for reviewers to join THP
thehotpepper.com
03-14-2008, 05:01 AM
Looking for official reviewers.
1. No affiliation with a commercial fiery food company.
2. No owners of food review sites or blogs.
3. If you are a reviewer for another fiery food site, you can still apply, but you must review the sauces (and foods) you receive through THP on THP only.
Looking for creative writers with extensive hot sauce and pepper knowledge, a passion for fiery food, and a tolerance for extreme sauces.
Send a PM with the following info:
REVISED 7/8/08
One or two hot sauce reviews (published or sample). Accurate spelling and grammar a must. Looking for extensive reviews, not "hot or not" reviews. Cooking with sauces... spoon tasting... comparing to other sauces... food recommendations, etc.
This is a volunteer position, the perk being free stuff.
Email writing samples to contact at thehotpepper.com
Thanks!

Hey Pep, I would LOVE to be a reviewer but have never done anything like this for a site. Guide me so that I might fill the need.
Does sound like a very tempting job to do.

I can BS with the best of 'em!, extensive knowledge minimal, passion is here!, can tolerate anything except cucumber sandwiches, squash and brussel sprouts.
I only have one review...

Yes it is...I had to take a sabatical from my reviewing...just not enough time for planting, work, and playing in our band...

Residing in the US is a plus simply because most products will be shipped from the US and postage fees could become an issue. However it is open to all.

yup, i thought that especially when it cost me more to post than the items cost(from Aust to Europe) but a funny thing happened, sales increased 500% at least.

I've got three reviews at Yelp.com, am still working , but would really like to have some goodies if it takes 5. I got dibs on Capt. Spongefoot products!! That stuff rocks (that was not a review, just an opinion.)

I'd love to do it but I don't think living in Australia is very practical cost-wise, however if no-one else steps up maybe we could discuss this further Himself.

Anyone who is interested can review any hot sauce out there and submit it as a sample. A few samples would be cool.
PS. If you don't want your address for submissions published on the Internet, you should not apply.

Okay here's the deal. No published reviews? Submit two sample hot sauce reviews minimum 500 words via PM. That's enough to make a decision.
