We here at DEFCON Sauces are very proud to announce the release of our newest creation, direct from the Lava Forges of Hades, the DM MKII. The abbreviation stands for Deathmatch Mark 2, and is an ingredient we use in our infamous Deathmatch sauces for competitions. The DEFCON Creator has taken his alchemical expertise and crafted a product so torrid, it has caused the Denizens of the Dark to flee in abject terror.
It is EXTREMELY hot, and should be used with caution! If I had to fathom a guess, I would say it ranks somewhere in the area of 200,000-250,000 Scoville Units (SHU).
We unveiled this beauty at the Fiery Foods Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico on 2/29/08, and it was an immediate hit all weekend long. As you know, The DEFCON Creator so enjoys sharing his products with the general public, and handing out this level of pain to the masses really put him in a good mood. Do not let the picture of this beast deceive you however, the product actually comes in a clear bottle. We made this stuff extremely dark, so as to set it apart from our regular line of sauces. The label is quite UV-Reactive, too. Also, as an added note, this is the FIRST product we ever made with our infamous Defense Condition ZERO elixir, which definitely sets it apart from many sauces out there. As the label states, "Your fears of the dark are now edible", which proves to be quite the honest statement. The best part is it comes in a HUGE 12 ounce bottle, so this puppy will last you a LONG time!
This is a limited reserve, so get them while they're hot (no pun intended). The price on this masterpiece of culinary masochism is $18.00, and for the price, you get a ton of heat! Be the first on your block to enter the Deathmatch Domain of Exquisite Carbon Fire Bliss!
To order, visit our website:
www.DEFCONsauces.com
Once again, be careful with this stuff, it’s HOT!

Your newest wing sauce sounds awesome but I hate to say it you posted in the wrong forum. You need to move this to sauce/salsa forum one down. This site can get real confusing if you don't place your advertising in the right place. Sorry for making a stink.

Yes we accept Paypal. Just order from the website, it should calculate the postage pretty close. If not, we will just send you a Paypal invoice for the additional amount.

When I am interested in buying stuff from overseas and think the p&h is too high I contact the seller and tell him that I can tell from packets I have recieved before that he is asking too much and would be willing to double check that. If they won't do that I simply don't order anything (unless I REALLY need/want it and can't get it anywhere else). I am not willing to pay more than the actual postage and some extra for packaging etc.... Especially on ebay the p&h rates are sometimes really hilarious. First item 10 bucks each additional item just 5. Then you order 3 and pay 20 bucks for p&h only to find 2.50 worth of stamps on a used envelope - no thanks! Let me set one thing straight: this is in no way supposed to make online merchants in general look bad or like greedy a**holes. Some are, but there are a lot of great people, too! More power to them!

Hey Def,you gonna have this gem at Zest Fest? I plan on piling on your stuff in June. I should probably think of driving home!
IU whole heartedly agree with the folks about shipping. It's getting out of hand. Even here in thestates, it cost half again what the actual product costs. I don't get it. Anyhow, this is about the postage rates, not about the manufacturers, so no slam against you Def, same junk happens every time I want to order online.

I have heard of a few sauce makers who make there products cheaper but cover their costs with the postage. I know in the end you still pay the same amount but I always think I'd rather pay more for the product and less for the postage. Silly in a way as you still pay the same but I feel like I'm getting something in the end for my money.

We charge an average of $1.00 extra (for packing materials).

If they last that long, the answer is yes. Which Zest Fest, Miami or Dallas? We'll be at both.

That's perfectly okay IMO as long as the actual postage is charged. Be assured that I wasn't talking about you!! I have never ordered from you so I couldn't say how fair your postage rates are anyway...
How much do you charge for sending one or two bottles of sauce to Germany?

Def, I'll be in Miami. Should be pulling into Miami around 6pm Friday night with a buddy of mine and should be ready to drink some beers shortly thereafter. I have never been to Miami, so if anyone knows a good place to go near the convention center, let us know. Also would love to meet up with any of the gang for grub and drinks over the weekend.
Funny story, I registered online for the free night and tickets, waited for a while and eventually called the gal in charge of that stuff. Turns out there is something wrong with the website and the directions of the sign ups, and I am, at this writing, the ONLY registered buyer! WOOT, go me!

Thanks for the advice, guys - very appreciated! I am aware of it, but I wanted to try the DC1 for the taste, not the heat. If it needs some extra heat for some occasions I can add it.
I hope it's not super mild!?!? In this case I might rather go for the 2. If I am getting a ggod quote from DCM I'll try them all sooner or later anyway I guess!

Chiliac, I have DefCon 1,2,3, Habby Pony, Habby Horse, and now DM MKII...will eventually get some zero....
3 is very mild...my wife eats it like candy and she can't handle much heat
2 is wonderful but too hot for wife...I love it...
1 is getting to where I have to watch how much I use but one little dollop works great in a bloody mary..
Habby pony is a rather mild horseradish/habanero condiment but has wonderful flavors
Habby Horse is way much hotter than the pony but has the same flavors and is great
DM MKII is not for the faint of heart...I used about 1/4 tsp in 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce Monday night and it was almost too much for me to eat...but I managed.....very tasty, actually delicious...
All the DefCon products I have tasted are absolutely fantastic...

If they buy a multitude of sauce, perhaps they can get a better postage deal through Peppers, as they ship out much more international than we do, and carry our products. www.peppers.com
However, they don't have our DM MKII yet.

As I said I would I contacted a UK sauce distributor months ago about stocking your products and a few other sauces but I never even had a 'confirmation' of e-mail back so I'm going to see what others I can e-mail. Anywhere in Europe though is better for me for shipping costs than the US.

Not a problem. Like I said, a majority of our international shipments go through Peppers. They ship out pallets every week of all different sauces to Europe, and their shipping rates would be much better than our due to their bulk.

Ok let me start by saying I used leftover wings from my favorite watering hole. I put a healthy does of DM MKII on them and popped them into the microwave. I knew I was in trouble when I started coughing while they were reheating. First taste not unlike Defcon 1 but I knew the heat was coming. Eating as fast as I can I soon began to feel the lovely sensation I crave coming over me. It starts as a tingle in the back of the head and comes up and over in a wave of capsaicin induced bliss. Then the pain starts. It starts slow in the back of the thoat then works its way forward and plants itself firmly on the tip of my tongue. By the third wing I am having the endorphin rush. I want to eat more but I am hitting the wall that the Creator talks about. Powering through I eat four then five. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Six. Ok that is enough. I am panting, sweating, and howling. Why do I do this to myself? My nose is running sweat on my head and under my eyes. Ok the heat is now a dull ache but the rush goes on. That's why I do this. Not looking forward to tomorrow. Definitely hotter than the Deathmatch I attended. I typed this after the completion of the eating so don't think the pain goes away that quickly. I would say it lasted about 15 minutes. Tip of tongue is still hot. Everything I hoped for and more. Still questioning my sanity.

Well Passow, what do you think?
Well....mmmm......let me preface this by saying Defcon Zero Batch #3 was spot on, it tasted a little sweet and was hot. The recipy was tweeked with Batch #4 to be hotter but with that it had a bitter "extract" taste (even though no keytones were used).
Now, when I tried this the major taste I had was the bitter extract. Other than that, this taste very similar to Defcon Condition 1 (which I love btw, it's one of those things I'll catch myself eating late at night with a spoon). The aftertaste is amazing (well after the heat cools down), it's so sweet and you only notice it when you inhale (weird I know).
The heat was INSANELY amazing on this. It's damn near instantly. I took John's advice about being caeful and only did about a half of a spoonful. I think I burned the top layer of my skin in my mouth off. Can't wait for my chili-head initiates (yes, I have minions...scary huh?) to try this tonight.
You know now that you mention it, I had this weird gummy feeling today on the roof of my mouth. Felt like I had something stuck there. Could have been skin. I never made the connection till you said so. Is this possible? It did happen to me once before years ago, and before my tolerance was anywhere near what it is today. For the record, I did have the awful backend burn this morning, but no stomach cramps this time

Thanks for the good words, we always like to hear them.
Found a great use of DM MKII, mixed with that new Pace Queso sauce on tortilla chips! Yum. I used about a half dollar sized amount for about 3-4 ounces of cheese. Mellowed the immediate heat but still got the flavor and the long slow burn. Tonight its back to the wings though.

I woudl suggest mixing it with something, you don't want the wings to burst into a carbon fire.

As I said I would I contacted a UK sauce distributor months ago about stocking your products and a few other sauces but I never even had a 'confirmation' of e-mail back so I'm going to see what others I can e-mail. Anywhere in Europe though is better for me for shipping costs than the US.
*Why do you have to live soooooooooooo far away*
Good news. I've just seen the UK site I contacted have got your all-purpose wing sauce in now. Well done Defcon.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the website? I'll add it to my links on the website.

Sigh, I still want some DM MKII, but can't.
I tried sending ya the $24.80 directly via PP, but apparently anything going to that address has to be a "confirmed address", meaning with a Credit Card.
So, no checks, no CC, no sauce. :(
I could send a money order, but I doubt that you'd take one from MoneyTree as nobody here will.
Is there a different email for Paypal I could use, or a reseller? If you sell on ebay, that'd work.
Would one of those prepaid CC's work if I got one for like $25?

Actually, I see you are from Washington. Our stuff is available at Double DD Meats, in Mountlake Terrace if that's anywhere close to you.

Unfortunatly they are on the other side of the state from me, and they don't have a website to order from that I could find.
We used to have a store here in Spokane called "Mango & Chili" that carried everything, but they closed years ago. :(

I know (from your comments) that the taste is delicious! I was curious how the heat compares to others sauces you've tried. Black Mamba? Final Answer? Demon Ichor?

I think the final answer tastes somewhat like asphalt diluted with bleach. I haven't tried the others.

We currently don't have any retail places in the vicinity of your trip. If you have a place you think would do well with our stuff, have them contact us.
As for which products to get, it depends on the heat level you wish to partake of. We have mild to thoroughly extreme, both wing sauces and horseradish products.
