I had another one of mine last night. They are delicious.
They are also a handful. I still have a case and a half after 4 months or so. I started with 52 beers.
I may be willing to ship a couple if anyone is interested.
They are good, I can only drink 1 at a time due to the heat.
Normally I wash down spicy food with beer, so I can take a ton of heat. I can't see washing down beer with water, so when the beer is the heat, I can't take as much.

So that's one of ur homebrews eh? What's the name of it so I can do a review? Main ingredients? Style of beer?

Indeed.
8 lbs of pale 2 row
2 pounds of belgian pilsen
1 oz Cascade Hops
1 oz Bullion hops
6 orange Habs/ripe/roasted , 1 guajillo/green/roasted
White Labs "Irish ale" yeast
It is definitely an American pale ale, but in competition it would go into the "Specialty" category.
I call it simply "Habanero Ale"
I hope you enjoy it.

the only ones i've had so far are the chipotle ale from rogue, and the green chili beer from flat branch. wasn't crazy about either of them to be honest. they were both drinkable at least. i think peppers can be a great compliment to beer..just in foods that you are eating with your beer.
my friend from nova scotia that i traded beers with just got a job at garrison brewing co in NS, CA. don't think he's had their jalapeno ale yet. judging by the ratings, that might not be a bad thing either.

Honestly, I use mine more for cooking than drinking. It makes an incredible wing sauce. I also marinated scallops in it. YUMM!!!

I found some cheap Quebec jalapeņo beer the other day when looking for a brew to put in my chili, seemed perfect, and it was so far as the recipe went, but tasted like arse on its own.

Back me up IGG!! Mine may not have been "crystal clear" but....oh wait. you did have some criticisms of the flavor. (everyone's a critic!!)
Really the one I made has awesome flavor. I wouldn't change it.
My advice is that chile beer works well as the main ingredient, if it is good to begin with.
I use mine as the MAIN ingredient in wing sauce. It would probably work well in chili..... I happen to have a couple left;).
