While shopping for sauces on the internet for hot sauce is fine and dandy, it would be really nice to know where the locations of stores that have large selections of hot sauces or dedicated to hot sauces are. Does anyone know where a list is maintained, or if it would be possible to start one? I tried googleing it, but that wasn't helpful when I looked in the Washington D.C. area and the Pittsburgh area. I'm really hoping some of you with distributers might be able to help me out.

Not that it helps you too much, but my favorite hot sauce store is Peppers of Key West.
The selection is good, though they don't beat the prices over at www.sweatnspice.com.
But in person, they have a bar with hundreds of sauces open and ready to sample. They'll walk you from the mildest of mild all the way through Mad Dog 357, which is the hottest they'll open.
You grab a pitcher of beer from next door, and can spend a whole afternoon sampling and drinking . I checked it out while on a cruise earlier this year, and that trip was the highlight of the whole thing.
I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Key West.

Thanks, keep it up incase anyone travels. I actually found one that has a decent selection in Blacksburg, VA. It's the Vintage Cellar, and while it's not a hot sauce store per se, it did offer over 100 brands. They also hae a selection of wines and rare beers.
Still hoping someone knows of some in the D.C. area or Pittsburgh areas.

I don't know the address yet, but there is a place in the Va. Beach area. A friend often stops in there to buy something to test my heat level there. He just pops up every now and then, and says" Here, try this!". Brought Satan's Blood last week. Haven't tried it yet. Only used to 550K s.u. so far. It's 800K. Frank

These guys are great. As the shop is in Gatlinburg, TN, it's also a fun place to visit.
