Cut Back Orange Hab Doing Fine

I pulled most of my pepper plants up 10 days ago to clear my garden space out for the winter. Decided to cut back some plants. Left some with "mini greenhouses" over them, some just cut back with no protection, and one I cut back, pulled up, repotted and put in my germinator. After 10 days it has lots of new growth on it...I have got to get a better camera.

I cut mine back 2 months ago or so. Not quite as far back as you did. It is now tryng to bloom. Should I let it?

Personally, I don't like to pinch flowers or modify the growth pattern of any plant...just personal choice. It may be the old hippie in me that says "leave living things alone so it can do its own thing". I have read here and in other literature, if you pinch the early blooms the plant will put its growth into foliage. The only time I will touch my plants will be when I cut them back for overwintering.

I would say as long as you can keep it warm and well lit.....let 'er rip.....

Hey cheezydemon, with that big root you could do a bonzai like on Fatalii's site but wait till next fall.

That is pretty damn cool potawie, I just imagine that it will get bigger and produce more the next year with less pruning. That is a cool idea though! A good one for when I finally have more plants than I need. Maybe next fall I will have changed my mind and gotten a cool little pot for it. We'll see.
