I was recently deployed to Kuwait. While I was there me and a co-worker got to talking about how much we loved the old 80's action movies. One day, we were talking about the same subject after I read my first action movie script and I thought to myself "I can do this." Long story short; I wrote a movie script for an 80's style action movie called "Heavy Weapon". It's an original script but it also pays homage to some of the great action flicks of the 80's.
So, now I've got a script...yeah, so do 1000's of other people, right? I thought to myself, "how can I make this project something special...something unique" and it came to me. I decided to post my movie script online (registered with the WGA of course for my protection) and let the world have a chance to help add to it and make it even better; Make it a movie for the fans with the help FROM the fans. So, I've done just that.
The site is only a couple of weeks old. I'm no professional, but I've coded, designed, and built the site by myself. All of the art and everything is done by me. I'm putting my best effort into everything...the only thing I'm missing is the attention. For someone who works 8 to 12-hour days in the military, I don't have the time or money to advertise the site, but I'm doing what I can to get this thing rolling. I really do want everyone to be involved in this...I feel like this could be something big, and I'm offering the best incentive I can for those who help: a possible cameo in the movie or being credited, if possible.
Which brings me to you. If you find this project interesting at all, then let me know, and get involved. If not, then I'd at least like to thank you for reading this far.
