I was sleeping last night, dreaming about being Spider-Man (how's this for syconisity) and John Conner and such fun things like that, when I quickly woke up to a slight discomfor. My left eyelid was hurting me slightly. I figured it was nothing and went back to sleep.

I woke up later, and officilly, at 9:12 and my eye was really in some discomfort. I went to the bathroom to look at it and found the bottom lid to be twice it's size, tender, and slightly brused looking.

Turns out a spider bit my eyelid in the middle of the night and now I'm so tempted to itch it. I just hope it doesn't swell up anymore that it is already....

LLOL, it's starting to go down, so it's no longer as impressive.

It basically looked like I got punched in the eye. You've seen those fights on tv where the guy's eye's swollen just slightly from a left hook.

I had that once - no pain, no bruising, just a swollen eye lid. never happened since. I read a statistic once that said each person will swallow at least 20 bugs in their sleep throughout their lifetime.

I read another statistic that said 42% of all statistics are made up on the spot, of course next time I quote this statistic the percentage will change again, and so on...

LOL, nice one Chilliman.

So it'ss till swollen this morning. I've broken out the Boric Acid and am doing that twice a day. It does not look like pink eye... The only version (of the three versions of pink eye that exist) is the allergin verison of pink eye. I've narrowed it down to a specific eye drop that I use every day or dust accumulation. I'm running my Heppa Filter right now so that will take care of one and I'm using a RX eye drop instead of the standard over the counter one......more news at 6.

Still, I don't think it's pink eye....oh! Another possability is that the spider layed eggs.....ok...let's hope it's not that.

you know what'll happen then dude - you'll feel it start to get a little itchy, then one day a little red lump, a bit like a pimple will appear and you won't be able to help yourself. you'll give it a little squeeze or a scratch and 200 baby spiders will come pouring out of your eye!!!

At least it wasn't a Brown Recluse. I got bit by one of them about 4 years ago while sleeping. Yeah, very weird considering I'm in NJ! Went to the hospital the next day after what looked like chunky Killians Red was pouring out of my wrist. Got moderate muscle damage from the necrotic (sp?) bite, and I was in luck, St. Barnabas Medical Center was the ONLY hospital in NJ that had the anti-venin in the state. I'm still waiting for my superpowers to kick in.

It's a stye!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn it! I've heard about these little buggers but never have had one. Now, I've got one. Sigh....well I just cooked up my Corriander seeds for the eye drops, I've got my anti-bacterial RX eye wash (from a previous doctor's visit...how convienant), borric acid for another eye wash, my square wave magnetic field generator, and my warm towel compress. Let's hope this clears up fast and doesn't need a trip to the doctor's to get it drained.

It's really starting to have slight pain, mainly from the swelling and the tenderness of it.

that's a shame it's a stye - the idea of millions of little arachnids pouring out of your eye got me a little excited - not in a sexy kind of way, more in the way Homer gets excited about pork chops or beer or donuts - you know where I'm coming from.

oh well - eye suppose it's good new for you eyemaguitargod - get it!!!! eyema!!!

bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

after all that mirth I hope your condition is not serious or irreversible!

Oddly enough, you weren't the only one who was hoping for that. A bunch of people at work were saying the same thing....

mate you should be ok, I don't believe styes have any long lasting effects if treated promptly - you are self-medicating aren't you!? actually, since I've been a regular on this site, you've been through the wars a bit this year, hopefully the second half of the year will improve for you.

you weren't effected in anyway watching 'The Movie' on the big screen?

You should spend a few hours in the orgone accumulator, just for good measure.

pics please!!

(it may be a bite from a bird-eating spider afterall! in a few days, it'll start to get itchy, and you won't be able to help yourself... you know the rest - just make sure that if you do scratch or squeeze it that there is a camera rolling so we can see the baby spiders emerge on youtube.)
