Lower nodes droopy

I am curious as to why the lower nodes or "branches" are droopy on a few of my plants they are outside now in pots I water when the soil is dry-er and I stopped fertilizing as frequently. The weather has been getting warmer but I am suspicious of another malady such as nitrogen or ?????? imbalance

any help would be appreciated
