Got some Extract today

I have been in contact with a company that supplies Oleoresin Capsicum. I recieved a sample of their 500,000 SHU Capsicum. Am I missing something? I tasted it and it really isn't all that hot. The "chemical" aftertaste is not to appealling either.

I dipped a toothpick and tasted it. I had expected to really get a blast of heat and I found that the goofed up batch of extract I made is HOTTER. Something wrong here!!

Shake it up. It may have settled as capsicum isn't too soluble in anything you should be willing to digest in appriciable amounts other than oils or butter.

well that would explain why it isn't that hot too me. I will call the guy back and tell him I need hotter!!! According to the papers he sent me he handles it up to 3 million SHU. So I will get that instead.

For the new creation I am working on I need something that will give it a real hard sharp blast of heat...hhmm
