I just returned home from a business trip to Orlando, FL. While I was there I was fortunate enough to eat at Emeril's Restaurant on City Walk, and wash that down with a few margaritas next door at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. What really stole the show for me though, was a Steakhouse in a strip mall on International Drive in Orange County. We had a few drinks on the open-air patio while we waited to be seated. The first thing I noticed was the wood burning fire pit. This is what made my 27ounce 2 1/2 inch think Bone-in NY Strip so amazing. This steak was cooked to perfection. Seared at 1200' it was served to me a perfect medium rare. Pair that with a 1/2 lb of King Crab Legs and it was one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. If you are ever in the Orlando area check out Charley's. On the way home I read that they were considered the 6th best steakhouse in America. I would have to try the other five ahead of them to believe that.
