does anyone have any recipes using powder instead of fresh/frozen pods? will using powder produce a different result to fresh?

I guess that there may be a difference in the amount of liquid due to the dryness of the powder but should I expect a different flavour?

any thoughts???

Well, pepper powder doesn't really dissolve in liquid like, say, sugar. So, your consistency will be a little granular.

As for the measurements, let your tounge be your guide. The sky's the limit. Just don't make a cake out of pepper powder.

There's some simple recipes on Dave's "pods to powder" page for rubs and sauces.
