Intersting news for fans of natural ultra-hot sauces. CaJohn posted this, concerning the upcoming Fiery Foods show, elsewhere:
We will be debuting our 10th anniversary sauce, Sauce 10 that contains Naga Jolokia, Red Savina, Fatalii and Orange habs. It is the hottest natural pepper sauce I have ever made*. We will be selling a commerative 375 ml bottle that will be signed and numbered for $20.00. There are 600 bottlse in the run. It will also be available in a 5 oz. size for the $10.00 retail price ($5.00 wholesale).
*With CaJohn, that's saying something. I'm gonna order some of this stuff. Wish I was going to the show!

I'll let guys know how good it is when I try it. CaJohn's Talon is my favorite sauce (after FKS of course), so it has some big shoes to fill.

I should have some in the next day or two. I'll let everyone know how it goes  I'm going to do a Talon vs Naga test!

I use and grow Fatalii's, but not commercially. Jim from Mild to Wild grows 'em, but I can't seem to get a straight answer from him on them. He might be keeping them for Cajohn's use only.. ;)

Well, I was lucky enough to get ahold of this today, and let me tell you it is HOT. Much hotter than Talon. Hottest non-extract sauce I ever had. And.... it's good! Takes a little bit for the heat to come on, but it stays for a while.
For all going to NM - make sure you try this!

I WANT, I WANT!! Hopefully mine will arrive soon. Until then I'll just have to suck on my Fatalii Fire bottle.

Well, CaJohn is in NM for the FF show. I'd say to call him towards the end of next week and see what he can do! I highly recommed this sauce.

I've just emailed Cajohns. my fingers are crossed though my intestines are hoping for a "sorry we can't help you" response. I mentioned that I am a site member of THP - nothing like a little name dropping...
I'll post the results.

It seems the race is ON with Naga sauces. Danny Cash is making one with wassabi (!). The mind wobbles. Somebody please try that and post a review!

let's hope that the Naga sauces that do hit the shelves are genuinely hot and not watered down, heatless and cheap!

If you're in a hurry chilliman64, he has a small crew at the shop to take orders while he's away. A phone call will probably be better than an email.

Does it taste more like the Talon or the Fatalii Fire? How would you explain the flavor...

Much better, and hotter. I have two bottles - the original which is Fatalli, Red Savina and Orange Habs, and the veriosn with the Naga. The Naga seems to take away that "Fatalli" taste. I dont want to say the Fatalli is bitter, but the Fatalli has a bite (hasrd to describe but hopefully you kanow what i'm talkin about). Plus this sauce sneaks up on you and gives a nice burn on the entire mouth. I jsut killed the bottle, and the last taste I had was 15-20 minutes ago, and the heat is just going away. defeinitely a winner. Going to call John now.

Is the sauce available to the public yet? I don't see it on website, as someone above said. I've tried emailing but the email is returned. Should I just wait a little bit?

I just had some on Friday, hot hot hot! Although, it has mustard in it and I hate mustard, that's the only thing that didn't jive with me on the sauce.

I tried it in MN. It's pushing extract heat. I thought I was tough until that one. I can't say I like the flavor. sort of bitter/citrus like a grapefruit. I don't like grapefruit. I bought a bottle anyway ha ha ha

I tried both CaJohn's and Danny Cash's this past weekend.
Both are really hot and are very different sauces. I'm still trying to process what went over my tounge......!

My roommate tried both Danny Cash's and CaJohn's, he liked them! And this is the guy who dislikes the taste of Habanero's! I was shocked!

I also tried both and can say that I think CaJohn's was hotter. Well, let's just call it a different hot. Danny's had the wasabi nose hair burn along with the naga. CaJohn's was just flat out 100 mph heat!!!

I picked up two signed bottles (#11 and #15- tried to get #13 but Jim from Mild to Wild trumped me on that with John..lol) and two 5 ozers for consumption. I must say I really like the heat level of this sauce.. EFFIN HOT! With NO extract!
Fatalii is the predominate flavor on my tongue. Definitely can taste the Red Savinas too! Can't say that I taste any of those Naga's.. Although the heat is just so high up there, that it might be hard to tell..
I put a few drops on top of a large plate of pasta with some Fra Diavolo sauce! I was sweating bullets after the 5th or 6th bite! :onfire:
Get some! -Lars-

He gave me one of the prototype bottles and signed it. This is currently my only collectable sauce that I own. Neat!

still no response... a pretty poor effort to ignore a request from a customer - I guess that's a sign of the times. I would operate a little differently if it was my business.

I know John personally and to say that this is a surprise is and understatement. If you only sent an email, I know for a fact that he had major email issues while away at the show - and may just not have gotten it. If you called, then i'm not sure. Like I said this is definitely not like him. I would try again.

it surprised me too! I didn't phone due to the call costs and just figured that email was easier and cheaper. I did send another email yesterday, let's see what happens. probably too late now anyway... there's a dude on ebay selling '10', probably easier to bid on that now.

ok, good news! I just received an email from Cajohn (John), he sent me a copy of an email that he sent in response to mine dated 8th March - so he did respond - thanks John! don't know what happened there as I (for some electronically cosmic reason) don't recall receiving it. anyway, I just wanted to apologise to John for the bad karma.
sorry for the bad karma John!
