Ok I know that we are pretty much forced to use co-packers to make our sauces. well here's a question for you guys who are licensed or certified.....How did you get licensed and what's it cost? I understand you need a commercial kitchen. But what licenses do you need? and how difficult is it to obtain these licenses??

Great question! All States are different. Contact your state Gov. They should be able to direct you. I found in NJ, the cost is around $200 for a manufacturing/bottling license.

In Texas, the Food Processing License alone is $500 and they only give the 3 day course once a year. As jbhill said, contact your state for the most current info.
