I found a Penzeys retail location by accident. They sell all kinds of herbs and spices under their own label. I found fancy salts, some unusual dried peppers, a peppercorn mix, dried wasabi powder and this...

I was eager to try it. The ingredients are a little strange in my opinion. salt, paprika, allspice, nutmeg,cayenne, black pepper, white pepper, cinnamon, thyme, ginger

So off I go to the store and find a sale on new york strip.

I cover it in the rub, which smells a little to nutmeg at this point.

grill that baby. it charred well and the nutmeg quality mellowed

It was very much like a mild Jamacian Jerk which is something I wouldn't normally want on steak. However, I found this to be a great and great big flavor that never hid the meat. It accented it nicely and I'm looking forward to trying it again. Wish I would have bought a bigger bottle.
