How often do you eat spicy food?
Not quite daily, but at least a few times a week for sure.

Constantly....i can't seem to get enough of anything spicy anymore....it's like a disease or an addiction....but an interesting one indeed....thats why i really have to get off my ass and start growing hot peppers....i spend a fortune on the buggers every week...

I could have written this myself ....
I have peppers that people give me from their gardens... I figure I can cultivate The Ultimate LuckyDog Pepper
I dont know about anyone else but I actually feel high after eating hot peppers a little with food but thats like combining the munchies and inducing the "high" at the same time

Ahhhh, the bliss of endorphins. Best part is spicy food is very good for you.
When I met my wife she didn't like spicy or hot after years of marriage she now eats it all. Goes to show you you can share your addiction.

If for some unknown reason I find no peppers in the crisper (that’ll never happen) almost everything get a few shakes of cayenne and then I will bring out the my sauce of choice. If it has no kick to it……I’d just rather not eat the s**t period……

I voted for every meal (although the Peeps are cool, especially when you put them in the microwave...they get really big). I just had a salad (from the garden) with tuna and dried peppers sprinkled on it for breakfest. As for cereal, take your milk and mix a few splashes of Defcon Zero (or CaJohn's Z) and let sit for 5 minutes, stirring occassionally. Then put on your favorite cereal and your off!

I voted just about every meal. Like the others, I can't seem to find eating spicy with cereal much of a well balanced flavor. Of course I can drink a beer with my cereal, so it's possible that I could adjust to spicy frosted flakes.

This gives me a great () idea Sickmont. And no, that's not a lightbulb sticking out of my a$$! Here's a wonderful idea for a spicy cereal breakfast.... Pour corn flakes into a bowl, sprinkle with cheese, heat in microwave for 25 seconds, add hot sauce/salsa of choice, and enjoy yer meal!!! Viola! Might even want to add some bacon bits to top it off.

I also do just about every meal. I really don't eat breakfast but I am going to start at work. I will bring in crackers and keep them there or maybe get a bagel in the morning since I found this great Hanbanero Raspberry Jam by Sweet Agony.. It is really really good. The only time I don't get hot my dishes spicy is when I go out to eat. I don't always keep hot sauce on me or in the car, lol. I have though in the past brought a bottle with me in my jacket!!
Sometimes I will go and ask for the Tobasaco but it is really weak of course for us chiliheads.

a lot of times...like today for example..i'll order some food (beef lo mien) and ask them to make it extra spicy. not sure what they do..probably just add more of the not so hot sauce they already were using, or added more red pepper flakes..but its a step in the right direction i guess. oh..and sometimes they will say "are you sure? its our spiciest dish!" i usually let that go right in one ear and out the other.

I put hot sauce on everything. Every meal cept fish. To me fish and hot doesn't fit. So everything else gets kicked up a notch. Around here I have the guys hooked on hoppie cheese sandwiches. That would be a grilled cheese kicked up a notch with hotsauce and two eggs on top with enough hotsauce to slow their eating process down. They love it.

I agree with the Mullet. It also may be the way you are preparing your fish or a psychological barrier...what I mean by that is you may enjoy fish so much that you think it is sacriligious to change the way you eat it. I have a few things that I can't bring myself to put hot stuff in myself.

I've tried some with fish, but the bier battered halibut we chew on around here I like best without. The red salmon we slice up and mix with onion and a little lemon juice and salt, let set for a couple hrs...sure is good with bier. Of course the silvers and kings we run through the smoker....then of course there is the squaw candy which are strips of smoked salmon....another reason to do the bier thing. Probably the psychological barrier thing, when I was in Germany my friends would say that the "wiesswurst (white sausage) would die at noon" and you couldn't take them north of the wiesswurst equator, (Donau River) so not doing hot with fish sorta fits that line of thought. Does real good on other dead critters though.

AK Hot....up till last October, I worked as a manager and fishing guide out in Bristol Bay for 12 years. One of my shorelunchs would be whatever salmon, either sauteed' or grilled. I would then combine cream and sweet thai chili sauce, reduce and finish with a little butter and serve that over the salmon. Most folks wanted more poop in the spice so I would jack it up with some mango hab. One guy said it was so good that the same meal in ANC at Simons would cost about $70 for two people. Too bad he paid almost a $1,000 for it.
For beer battered butt I like to throw in cajun seasoning in the batter. Another trick is I mix my own wasabi paste with mayo. I make it to where your nose hairs stand up...that's about perfect. Give em' a try. Kasilof should start seeing a king or two show up soon. Hope ya'll get your fish on!!

I have to agree. Nothing like a good Louisiana style sauce on Catfish! Well, ok...yes there is. But I don't overdo it with other sauces. Fish does have a delicate flavor and it's really easy to overshadow it with a strong sauce.

Hate to disagree with DD, I know that you really like this stuff, but I really have to disagree. I chatted for a second and then tried their sauces at the 2007 Fiery Food Show. Waaaaayyyy to much vinegar and way to much of specific ingredients. It tasted like they didn't let their sauces age, which they really need to do, it's way too overwhelming.

You are half-way to ceviche with this. Switch to lime juice and add some very thin strips of a fruity chinense and let sit for 24 hrs. The bite from the chile is sensational and reads through the salmon oils.
Ceviche is served all 'round the Carribean and in Mexico and is prized by the locals.

Yes, and begals as well. Cream cheese goes great on a begal with hot sauce.
I've done that for a long time. Red pepper flakes add a good flavor as well.

That just means you haven't used the right sauce on fish yet.
I agree some are good on it. I'm actually thinking the taste of Cajohns 10 would be really good on Fish Taco's. It's hot, but not super hot and tastes really good.

This morning My wife made me a lovely breakfast of :scrambled eggs, hash browned potatoes and bacon. She was only slightly horrified when I scraped this lovely plate of goodness onto a flour tortilla with cheddar and some fresh habanero salsa.(I crumbled up the bacon)
Damn it was good!

every single meal I can! if I'm going out I will take sauce/pods/powder with me. I've taken habs to McDonalds and yesterday I went to an Indian restaurant to celebrate the Festival of Onam and I took along a shaker of Red Savina powder.
