What unusual ingredients have you been thinking about using in a hot sauce?

I candied some pineapple chunks with brown sugar and habanero powder for a base for the Ogoun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogoun) sauce and 2 kinds of rum and banana liquour. That's about as wild as I've gotten with hot sauce.

I guess you can use dang near anything in a chunky salsa.

Otter spleen, but they won't hold still when I want to remove them.

Our newest experiments involve mustard seed oil, soybean oil as a different way to deliver the heat of the chiles.

I use a touch of olive oil for a different flavor, but it's really subtle.

There's something else that I add, but I'm keeping that ingredient a secret........

Yes in fact we have 2 new sauces in the pipeline we'll be adding in a short time.

1 is a type of taco sauce ( made using habanero's and De Arbol's) and the other is a pepper sauce that uses a lot of chiles not sure how to classify this product.
