Thanks! That was more than a little awkward for me. Hard to teach us old "blue-hairs" these new techie tricks! I use to have to hand crank the phone to make a call!! - E.Z.

Can your trans-Atlantic cousins order samples, or would that be taking the p1ss? ;)

Edit: Shooty* learns to read sites, and sees that it's a US Of A thing. Oh well. Next time I'm out that way...

Shooty - my current USPS bulk shipping permit does not allow international mailing. However, the buzz about this new sauce has resulted in 1,000's of inquiries for taste samples from all 50 states PLUS 11 other countries. I am currently attempting to determine a method of honoring the many international requests without breaking the bank with the extra postal costs and added expense of labor to execute customs documentation. Where is Scotty when I need him. I could just beam some over :) - E.Z.

Well.... Um...

Would this work: If you sent me a box of samples roughly corresponding to your UK requests so far, plus a corresponding number of envelopes to send them in, you could send me the UK enquiry addresses as and when you receive them, and I could despatch them through the UK postal system and ask you to pay me back via paypal?

Before I commit to that, what quantity are we talking about, exactly? I do have a full time job to do as well ;)

I don't know if it's any cheaper to send a large box of stuff over, but might be worth thinking about? No customs enquiry stuff for internal UK post.

I note that Mullet is reading this thread: No, dude, I'm not drinking ;)

Of course, having considered the logistics a bit more, if you can't bulk ship full size product over here, there's not much point doleing out free samples, i guess...

Hey, Shooty, that is a very creative and gracious offer. But, as you said, I had first better figure out my follow-up system for handling international orders befor i work out the sampling process.

I hope everyone realizes that I introduced this product line just 5 months ago. After winning a major Gold Medal awards for BEST OF SHOW, then receiving strong on-line reviews plus other buzz that caused an avalanch of sample requests from around the world, my initial projected marketing program has been overwhelmed. Hang in there though, folks. I will be on top all this soon. (Lord willin' and the creek don't rise!)

A.J. - Here is what I discoved regarding this comment. I conducted a tasted-tesing comparison against a couple of dozen famous and not so famous (not you Marco!) hot sauces ranging from Tabasco up to ones you hear from in the various BLOGs, who will remain un-named. The bottom line is we found most of the makers utilizing extracts as a heat ingredient have not first leaned how to formulate a quality recipe for the sauce base. Thus the taste, and worse the smell ( btw 76% of a human's taste experience in in the olfactory system) of the extracts when added dominate the finished product. I can say the same about vinegar.

Have you logged in to my Branding Iron Foods site yet to request a taster sample of Blazin'-Hot Sauce? If not, please do. I would like you to taste what I mean. My first ingredient is vinegar, but it doesn't stand out in the nose or flavor. I use a special blend of extracts and essential chili oils to gain a high heat, but it doesn't stick out in the nose or flavor. Why? Because the base sauce is a very complicated, well developed recipe that can stand up to vinegar and extracts!

My point here is the same drum I have been beating since I first joined - potential new makers (and some old ones) need to do better R&D, especially in the use of a tricky ingredient like chili extract. Success is marketing! Marketing begins with well done R&D! - E.Z.

I will try a sample.. sounds good to me..

Got it, sure 'nuf. We will get something off to you as soon as we are out of the grip of this latest snow & ice storm. We are shut down for tomorrow again it looks like. There are 3 major cities built on 7 hills Rome, San Fran, and Seattle, so just an inch of snow paralizes this place. Jeez, what a winter. - E.Z.
