we here at Kato's are sad to announce a good friend to the Fiery Food community Jeff Korte has passed
Following is an e-mail we recieved from his wife
Hello.
It is with deep regret that I am writing to inform you that my beloved
husband, Jeff, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning October 1,
2006 due to complications from diabetes.
Salsapalooza was his proudest achievement and I cannot thank you enough for
your contributions to our Fan Favorite Contest. The event was a success and
Jeff had a fabulous time being the ring-master of the events. Jeff loved the
Michigan Hot Sauce Club, and I adored seeing him so happy with the success,
making lots of friends, and loving life. Thank you again for helping to
achieve his dream.
