sat at the cook off i took my bottle of defcon zero and added it to chili...the poeple that loved heat loved it.
myself......a little curious i take off the cap....and i look and there is a nice little drop of zero in the top of the cap.
so i take my toung and just lick it off....

it felt like to me that there was someone putting out a cigarett on my toung.

alot of people didn't understand why i was holding my beer can to my toung. that and i talked like mushmouth for a good 10 min.

Don't let it get to you Bubba. A lot of people have trouble with the milder sauces like the Zero. If you loof at my site, I have some Source that you try once or twice a week help your tolerance level. Or maybe, just try the medium heat of Final Answer.
Normal dose is a toothpick, or more, twice a week. Keeps you from freezing up. :lol:

Chileheads know better than to not respect an extract....we just get distracted from time to time. Call it a lapse.

I'm cautious with extracts, but I'd be willing to bet there is not a chilehead in here that hasn't, at one time or another, let his/her guard down once or twice and paid the price....:mouthonfire:

I was seeding a habanero I picked from my garden. Total dumbass moment ensued: No gloves, rubbed the eyes, you see where this is going. :onfire:

It hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I kept my eyes closed, it really burned worse when I opened them, made it to my kitchen and got some tea towels wet to clean my eyes. Didn't flush my eyes out as the pain lessened a lot by just cleaning off my eyelids. I think I got lucky (if you can call it that) by only getting the heat on the skin around my eyes. Can't imagine what it would feel like on the inside.

Actually, there is a semi-antidote for "Pepper Eye". Rinse the eye out with sugar water. It'll take out the worst of the burn almost immediately.

Be sure to completely disolve the sugar in the water. You don't want to scratch your eyes with the sugar crystals....that's worse than hab burn... ;)

There are people like that, few, but there are. I've met 2 or 3 since our inception. You can actually use their skill to entrap others, and have the others writhing in agony. True fun!

I know there are some people that are rightfully called supertasters, something about having way more taste buds than is normal (and oh how I wish I was one, it would let me taste even more flavors in my beloved craft beer), but are there people with less buds? Antisupertasters or something?
