Hey HPT.com,
I work with some El Salvadorians and they bring me tamales.
I can get the recipe by tuesday and post it for you if you would like.
Marv
PS. I supply them chile powder to make it hotter, he claims the tamales are better than Mexican but not as spicy

Hey THP,
They use banana leaves instead of corn husks and I will ask for them to write it down, some what of a communication breakdown sometimes, but I will try.
His wife made me a load of them and wanted some powder, seems like a good barter.

I once had pineapple tamales, don't know where that recipe originated from, but it was a Latin food restaurant in NY that serves all kinds of cuisine, from Mexican, to Brazilian, Peruvian, etc.
