    Other Nightshades.

I have never grown that one but have others in that group. All are very difficult to get fruits from in my zone. It is more climate than anything but I would not discourage you from growing multiple plants as well as planting near a tree or 5m trellis. I should have a few from the Yucatán to...

None unfortunately. Just the same stuff you will find in Peru with maybe a different regional name. It's still fun to grow stuff that you bring back from a trip, even if not pepper related. Enjoy yourself.

C.tovarii have always taken a very long time to germinate for me. One random seed would pop in 7 days but generally 45 days or so and obviously longer. I did not dig deep but an example of it showing through a fairly dark flower. When lighter color it is more obvious.

@ChilliCrosser this is something that I have seen in other species and always perceived it as green. I can look through my photos for some examples. I appreciate you hanging on by a thread though. It’s comical and admirable.;) If anyone will get it done it is you. You’re tovarii cross is still...

Force your neurosis on everyone! Joking aside,I think we are seeing this the same way. Stand up against shady people in this community but leave the thousands of people just trying to enjoy a hobby alone. The word chili to my in-laws from Micronesia means penis. So when they hear chilihead...

Just the tip of the iceberg. There were other examples in the compendium that were changed and many left alone. I wish laws in this country were so easily manipulated.

What is a landrace? Is the 7 Pot/Pod a landrace or hybrid of the moruga red? And to go with my original question..would it be considered a landrace now? I can’t answer why CARDI calls it 7 Pod but they do. Does that carry weight over a farmer giving it the name 7 Pot? I understand your opinion...

I am aware of how these things work. We can keep rubbing sticks together to make fire, too? I understand the laws, they are still silly and primitive. As is the practice of using pressed plants and drawings. It was some years back when we had discussions about the purple cabai frutescens...

When was this renamed and how many times? CARDI used 7 POD going back nearly two decades and that is who I trusted over some generic tale. Maybe they were the first to rename it? I have never seen a discussion on that, only on which was proper. They obviously didn’t get Paul Boslsnd’s memo on...

It appears to be a wintered plant, do you notice a smell inside with older plants? I have never grown one longer than the typical 7 months here.

Good stuff. They have been receptive of some stuff but for some reason not other things that I feel would greatly help them with low funding—and specifically the Andean Clade. there is definitely some stuff that needs addressed there in terms of C.geminifolium. Things that the monograph has only...

I offered some data to Carolina Carizzo Garcia from the hybrid I made back in ‘20 during the study but they weren’t interested. :think:Interestingly enough, one of the phenos ripened burgandy while the others went red. The work you and others are doing with the interspecific crosses I think...

@Marturo The ecosystem appreciates your non-peat stance. It’s still organic material though and that is what they want. Maybe a full perlite grow would fit that narrative but that is a lot of work. @RedtailForester I have only had them once and it happened from getting lazy with my growing...

Setting up is frustrating. Add in flowers and intermediate stages of development and it exacerbates the stress. I use a metal strainer, too. Smash with cold running water, then just tap out onto a towel or plate.

I always stay safe-ish,amigo. The Solanaceae count on Quintaroo is weak so I had to move around a bit. It was a snorkeling trip but difficult the plants I like in the water. Hope all is well in the PNW.
